The MetOffice has discontinued the widget that we previously had here.

The four symbols are: weather, probability of rain, temperature (Celsius) and wind (mph).

Please note that the weather forecast available closest to Datchet is Eton.

Why show a weather forecast for Eton and not Datchet?  The Met Office publishes information on a grid, and this location is the closest one to Datchet. It's the most relevant for concerns about surface water flooding in Datchet.   To change the location of the forecast click "Options" beneath the map. If you are concerned about flooding of the River Thames, see below:  "Weather forecast relevant to flooding of the Thames".

Weather forecast relevant to flooding of the Thames

The four symbols are: weather, probability of rain, temperature (Celsius), and wind (mph).

Why show a weather forecast for Oxford instead of Datchet? Flooding in Datchet is determined by the rainfall in the upstream catchment of the River Thames.  Oxford is roughly in the middle of the upstream catchment and so the rainfall forecast there is a better indicator of future flooding than a more local site. It takes 2-3 days for rain in Oxford to reach Datchet.
